Vintage Plates Reimagined
Meet Valeria
I am a multidisciplinary visual artist—painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and design. Born in Paris to an Italian mother, my Tuscan roots inform craftsmanship and love for beauty. Trained at the School of Art & Design, I began as an art director in fashion, blending European sophistication with unexpected cultural crossovers. New York introduced me to a jazz community and a Mexican saxophonist, I developed a deep appreciation for Latin culture that eventually drew me to the Sonoran Desert.
With my latest project Valeria’s The Music Room, I create original illustrations and reimagined decorative plates, transforming vintage pieces into contemporary objects. Using black ink, clay, oil, and gouache, my work fuses Parisian chic with desert boldness—delicate lines, confident shapes—refined yet spirited, like red lipstick with a cowboy hat.
